Professional side splitter Nikki Carr is back at the Comedy House after finishing a national tour with Rod Man, the eighth season winner of Last Comic Standing. The popular comedy reality show won a primetime Emmy and a People’s Choice Award.
Carr began her comedy career at age 34 at the New York Comedy Club and made her television debut on BET’s “Comic View” in 2000. She appeared in “One Mic Stand,” Charlie Murphy’s “Crash Comedy,” “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand Up” and Showtime’s “Stand Up for Family.” Well known for her signature song “The Fat Girl’s National Anthem,”
Carr has also appeared on “It’s Showtime at the Apollo.” In addition, Carr appeared in the independent films “Golddigger Killer,” “Change the Game” and “Ass Backwards.” The mother of four and grandmother of four is the daughter of jazz drummer Bruno Carr.
