Comedian Timmy Tim was born in Spartanburg, SC and is the 2nd of 3 boys. He was inspired to pursue a comedy career in high school after seeing Richard Pryor on HBO.
Tim blessed the mic at a talent competition in his hometown of Spartanburg at Mickey’s Silver Bullet. He placed 2nd out of 50 contestants. Tim moved to Columbia, SC to further pursue his career in comedy. At first he struggled to find his path and one evening after an open mic at The Comedy House Tim was asked by radio personality Broadway Joe (Joel Ratcliff) to work on his radio show.
Today Tim is still on the air at Clear Channel’s 100.1 The Beat and Throw Back 105.5.
He is a staple act at the comedy house and has had the honor of sharing the stage with stars such as Kevin Hart, Kat Williams, Bruce Bruce, John Witherspoon, Mike Epps, Gary Owens, Sherly Underwood, Monique, Adele Gives, Sommore, Eddie Giffin, Arnez Jay, and D.L. Hughley. He has also hosted concerts for musical acts such as Charlie Wilson, Anthony Hamilton, Melanie Fiona, Trey Songz, Monica, Joe, H-Town, and Fantasia.
His motto is inspired by two of his idols, Richard Pryor, and Malcolm X, “Be funny by any means necessary”.
