JohnMorganHSJohn Morgan, the Ragin Cajun was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. The cultural, political and economic diversity of that city laid the groundwork for his development as a performer. John is one of nine children and after high school he attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana Lafayette) where he earned degrees in English, Political Science, and Interpersonal Communications. It was during his college career that John discovered he had the gift of comedy.

The “Ragin Cajun” gives parents a “talk” about how to raise children with manners. He thinks we are afraid to bust an ass! The stories will have you busting a gut with laughter! John dares to talk boldly about real issues. Whether he is speaking about children or relationships, his comedy comes from life experience with his wife and kids. Although his material may push some limits, it is never derogatory to any race, sex or creed. He finishes with a heartfelt patriotic theme making his show perfect for Armed Services Week.

Salute to Armed ForcesJohn has worked steadily at comedy clubs, corporate events, and musical arenas. He has made national television appearances on MTV, Showtime, and Night Watch with Charlie Rose. He has been the opening act for Jerry Seinfeld, Kathleen Madigan and numerouse musical artists.

John’s confident demeanor and honest approach to life is refreshingly original.

When not at home playing such roles as husband, papa, handyman, spiderman, or power ranger, John travels the country doing comedy.-

Aries Spears | Apr 8 – 10

Aries Spears at the Comedy HouseEver since Chicago native Aries Spears was 14 years old, he has been a force to be reckoned with in the comedy scene throughout America. His quick wit, charisma and ferociously aggressive style of comedy have earned him critical acclaim, high accolades, and above all, a busy schedule. From being a regular on Fox’s Mad TV, staring in feature films, appearing on a number of national talk shows, and continually touring the country with his stand-up, Aries’s talents are becoming recognized and appreciated throughout the entertainment industry.

As a principal cast member on Fox’s hit sketch comedy show Mad TV, Aries brought a fresh, hip style to the already-edgy program from the third through the tenth season. The producers made full use of many of Aries’s talents by calling on him often to create new hilarious characters and write sketches. Some of the many recurring characters that Aries is famous for on the show include: Belma Buttons, Bill Cosby, Jesse Jackson, Mike Tyson, Walter (Crackheads), Reggie (Erascist), Dollar Bill Montgomery, Shaquille O’Neal, The Klumps, Michael Jackson, Sisqo, Evander Holyfield, El Diablo Negro and more. Aries also boasts a number of uproarious impersonations on the show that include James Brown, Al Pacino, and his childhood idol Eddie Murphy. The Aries-branded sketch “Talkin’ American” was Mad TV’s most popular bit, keeping fans tuned in and boosting Mad’s ratings impressively on Saturday night.

Aries has also found great success in the world of feature films. At the age of 17, after being spotted in a comedy club, Aries landed a part in the movie Home of Angels, which also starred Abe Vigoda and Sherman Helmsley, but never saw a theatrical release. He then appeared in Out-of-Sync, and portrayed Red Foxx in Warner Bros.’s Why Do Fools Fall In Love. In addition, Aries starred alongside John Leguizamo in TriStar’s The Pest and delivered his most notable performance to date as Cuba Gooding, Jr.’s brother in Columbia’s blockbuster hit Jerry Maguire.

Aries SpearsAries was born on April 3, 1975 in Chicago but grew up in New Jersey. He remembers at the young age of six being the funnyman of the household and impersonating family members at the dinner table during holidays. By age 14, Aries was belting out his fresh stylings in front of paying audiences at local clubs around his hometown. Shortly afterwards, he appeared on Russell Simmons’s Def Comedy Jam on HBO and Showtime at the Apollo. The word was out about the prodigal superstar from then on, and in 1992, Aries moved to Los Angeles. He quickly landed a recurring role on NBC’s A Different World, and was signed to a huge development deal at one of the major television studios. The following year, Aries found himself starring in the short-lived CBS series South of Sunset with former Eagles guitarist Glenn Frey. Although the series didn’t last long, it did not discourage other networks from tapping Aries’s talents for their projects, as he soon appeared in Crosstown Traffic and Brisco County, Jr. for Fox. Ultimately, Aries’s fierce momentum landed him on Mad TV as a series regular, where he thrived for eight seasons.

aries-spears-hollywood-look-im-smiling-1Aries continues to spread his comedic wings with the development of feature film projects, which he is now involved in writing. He is presently developing a feature project based on an original character that he created on Mad TV, as well as a thriller about a young black man immersed in hip-hop culture. Additionally, Aries has made appearances on many talk shows including: Loveline, Vibe, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Soul Train, and Late Friday. He has also lent his voice to an animated character on C-Bear and Jamal and had a recurring stint on Fox’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period, where he created some of the show’s funniest characters during his short time there.

Aries maintains a strong connection to his African roots and is involved in many charitable events, including a number of organizations that help abused women. He feels blessed to have been able to do everything that he has, but he in no way intends on stopping there. Given the extreme growing success rate of action comedies coming out of Hollywood, it’s safe to say that Aries Spears will be in demand for some time.

Arnez J @ the Comedy HouseArnez J., while a favorite in the South for the past 15 years, is quickly emerging as one of the hottest, most talked about comedic artists in the game. His raw energy, talent and comedic skill quickly landed Arnez the coveted hosting slot on BET’s longest-running comedy series “Comic View” for two seasons joining the ranks of hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer. His hilarious new comedy special “Racially Motivated” is now available on Netflix.

Arnez J.’s charisma and physical agility are unforgettable. “J is a whirling dervish on stage–he runs, jumps, spins, slides, slips, and mugs through a performance, acting out many of his bits while describing them,” wrote Doug Kaufman in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Arnez admits of himself “I’ve always expressed my things through mannerisms and facial expressions rather than speaking.”

On his own at age 14, Arnez lied about his age to get a job at a gas station to work his way through school. With dreams to become a professional baseball player, Arnez began working as a flight attendant when those baseball plans fell through. It was while working as a flight attendant that Arnez discovered his comedic talent. He realized that he had the ability to keep the passengers and crew laughing and, upon encouragement from friends, he made his first attempt at stand-up comedy. After that first night on stage, he knew what he wanted to do. He left his job with the airlines and made the decision to devote all of his time to a career in comedy.

Arnez got a chance to combine his ambitions as both an athlete and performer when he was recruited by scouts for the famed Harlem Globetrotters basketball team who saw his very physical comedy routine at a local basketball game. However, after several months, a knee injury ended his Globetrotters career, finally clearing the way for him to devote himself full time to standup comedy.

An Atlanta native, Arnez began working the comedy circuit in Georgia and quickly became one of “Hotlanta’s” funniest newcomers. A finalist in the “Bay Area Black Comedy Competition,” he was immediately noticed by the entertainment industry and was asked to make his first television appearance on Showtime’s “Comedy Club Network.” Numerous television appearances soon followed including appearances on “The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show,” “Louie Anderson’s Comedy Showcase,” Comedy Central’s “Make Me Laugh,” NBC’s “Friday Night Videos,” “The Mo’Nique Show”, Russell Simmons’ “Def Comedy Jam,” his own BET “Comic View Grandstand Hour Special,” and “Comedy Central Presents: Arnez J.” He was most recently seen headlining Showtime’s “Shaquille O’Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam.”

Today, Arnez is widely considered one of the best working artists, with a polished and highly entertaining standup routine that keeps his audiences entertained without having to use profanity. In keeping with his plan, Arnez keeps up a dizzying pace performing for sold out crowds at arenas and other venues across the country.

For example, instead of cursing when you stomp your toe, you say “shucky ducky”. Now if you see a fine girl or a guy you like, you say “awwwwww, shuck-ay duck-ay!” Now if you get the girl pregnant, you say “Damn!”, ’cause you done shuck your ducky too long.

Luenell @ the Comedy House - March 6-8
Luenell at the Comedy HouseLuenell is a force of nature. This talented comedienne, actress and singer, was born in Tollette, Arkansas, a town whose population barely registers with the U.S. census. At the tender age of 10, she caught the acting bug after seeing the plays South Pacific and Ain’t S’posed to Die a Natural Death. She enrolled in theatre classes at the grade school level and continued to study through college and cut her teeth at the Oakland Ensemble Theatre.

In March of 1995, Luenell’s mom passed away and one month later she discovered she was pregnant. Some months later, a beautiful daughter Da’Nelle was born and she is the joy of her life, her “miracle child” as Luenell puts it.

Not long after this however, Luenell got a rude awakening. Luenell was sentenced to 365 days in jail for a series of indiscretions taken while working at a bank months earlier. It played out like an episode of Lil’ Kim on Court TV. She eventually served just over 4 months.

3352131043_4ed5b47377These days, Luenell’s life is on track. Her star continues to rise due to her appearances in television, film and music videos. Best know for her breakthrough role as the “hooker with the heart of gold” in the blockbuster comedy of 2006 “Borat” – Luenell is recognized by both mainstream AND urban sectors of the population. Her two-year tour and DVD appearances in “Katt Williams American Hustle” have created an almost cult-like following.

Luenell had an amazing 2012 with appearances in three #1 feature films – “Think Like A Man” with Arielle Kebell and Meagan Good, 3D animated hit “Hotel Transylvania” with Adam Sandler, and “Taken 2″ with Liam Neeson. She also starred in the hilarious comedy “That’s My Boy” with Adam Sandler and Leighton Meester.

Luenell hasn’t been short on television appearances either with recent episodes of “The Middle” and “Always Sunny In Philadelphia,” as well as stand-up appearances on “Snoop Dog’s Bad Girls of Comedy” on SHOWTIME and “Stand-up In Stilettos” on the TV Guide Network.

Luenell is living her dream. With such an intriguing past, one would wonder how can she be so funny, but it’s just that…life. Her reputation as a comic superstar continues to flourish, “…comedy demolition machine” (EURweb report) “a sidesplitting high wired act without a net…” (Scoop LA), “…comedy to die for.” (Metro LA) “…one of the top 25 funniest people in LA (Los Angeles Magazine) and the accolades continue to roll.

Shuler KingBorn Frank Williams III on December, 10, 1984 in Sumter SC, comedian Shuler King was raised in a household strongly based on religion and education.

The influence of his parents as well as his harsh surroundings gave him his own perspective on his life, his country, and the troubles of his people. The style of the young comedian is RAW, plain and simple. “I give it to the audience the same way life gives it to me. I pull no punches on stage, that is what I am most comfortable with and the people love it.”

“People think comedy is about just being happy, comedy is more about pain than anything else. You can see 20,000 people in one place laugh at the same joke because they have the same pain.”

Throughout his youth Shuler King was known as the one with all the jokes, despite all of his personal obstacles. Growing up, he and his siblings were exposed to domestic violence and drug abuse. By the time he was in middle school most on his friends sold drugs. At age 15 Shuler King had joined them. “I wanted to make my own money and feel like my own man, and at that time it felt ok.” As time went on he started to feel different about what he was doing, and slowly he departed from it.

Coming out of high school he never wanted to go to college, because he felt he wouldn’t get accepted anywhere. ” I was smart, but I never applied it in school. The curriculum was boring to me, because I felt that it was useless to everyday life.” Shuler attended Sumter High School were his mother, Mrs. Williams teaches English. His mother was the reason that he filled out a collage application at all. To the surprise of many he ended up attending and graduating from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts in 2007. During his attendance he joined the Mighty Illustrious Zeta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi in the Spring of 2007.

Shuler King aka Frank Williams IIIRegardless of any experiences that Shuler King has had or will have in his life, one thing that has always been concrete is his gift of comedy. On April 14, 2004, when he was just 19 years old he decided to take the stage at the NCO Club at Shaw Air Force Base. The Acts that night were Big Kenny, Barbra Carlyle and Sugar Bear. That night was proof that Shuler King could do just what he thought he could. Ever since then he has been stirring up a fuss at the comedy clubs around him. He has made appearances at the Comedy House Theater in Columbia, SC, The Uptown Comedy Corner in Atlanta, GA, Billy D’s in Columbia, SC, Fat Katts in Hinesville, GA, Club 118 in Sumter, SC, NCO Club in Sumter, SC, Omega Psi Phi Frat House Comedy Night in Charlotte NC, Club Rolex in Greenville, SC, The University of South Carolina in Columbia SC, and is now permanently booked for the Capital City Ques All Black and All White Affair at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia, SC.

Shuler King has shared the stage with a number of comedians such as Shawty, Dave Martin, Barbra Carlyle, Big Kenny, Arnesto, Sugar Bear, Damon Williams, Zoo Man, and Dirty South, just to name a few. Shuler King A.K.A. Frank Williams III is a work in progress, a complex individual who invites the public into his life through the gift of laughter.

“When I’m on stage I feel more alive than at any other time. I belong on stage, and I belong in comedy. With every performance I feel the spirit of God working through me.”
